몸길이는 약 21-28 ㎜이며 녹색형이 보통이고 드물게 갈색형도 나타난다. 암수 모두 성충이 되어도 전혀 날개가 자라지 않는다. 배마디 제 1절의 고막 기관이 뚜렷하게 발달한다. 주로 고지대 산림의 관목림 잎사귀 위에서 발견된다. 한국 고유종이다.

Original description: Zubovskya koreana Mishchenko 1952

  ♂ head large, projects forward slightly. Antennae very long, reach or extend slightly beyond dase of hind femora. Length of prozona of pronotum 2.75-3 times that of metazona of pronotum. Hind femora very long and narrow; length of femur 5.3-5.4 times its greatest width. Hind tibiae without outer apical spine, outer margin with with 11-13, inner margin with 12-14 spines. Mesosternum densely punctate; at its narrowest, interlobar mesosternal space slightly greater than its length. Metasternum densely punctate; its greatest width distinctly less than combined length of meso- and metasternum. First abdominal tergite with a distinct tympanic organ. Lobules of last abdominal tergite [furculae] large, narrow, triangular, slightly rounded apically, almost reach 1/4 length of supra-anal plate, at base contiguous. Supra-anal plate triangular or elongatedly triangular, with obtuse-angular apex, indistinct tubercle near middle of lateral margin 2 longitudinal short slightly elevated straight apical pads; length of plate equals or slightly exceeds its greatest width. Cerci extend slightly beyond apex of supra-anal plate, slightly bent inwards, in profile narrow, medially compressed; toward base markedly, toward rounded apex slightly expanded greatest width of cercus at base 1.5-2 times greatest width of apical widening of cercus; length of cercus 3-3.25 times its maximum width. Basic coloring yellow-green, brilliant. Body with 2 black longitudinal stripes. Head dorsally dully black. Hind femora with black distal end; inner and ventral aspect yellow. Hind tibiae yellow or yellow-green, with black base.
  ♀ like ♂, larger. Antennae almost reach base of hind femora. Length of hind femur 4.9-5.5 times its greatest width. Outer margin of hind tibia 10-11 spined, inner margin 11-13 spined. At its narrowest, interlobar mesosternal space 1.5 times its length. Maximal metasternal width equals combined length of meso- and metasternum. Coloring as in ♂, dull. Black lateral longitudinal stripes of body reach only 1st abdominal tergite. Head green dorsally. Hind femora with slightly darkened distal end. Hind tibiae with slightly darkened base.
  Length of body ♂ 21.2-22.6, ♀ 25.7-28.8 ㎜; pronotum ♂ 3.4-3.5, ♀ 4.5-4.6 ㎜; hind femur ♂ 11.7-11.9, ♀ 14.2-14.7 ㎜.
  Distribution. North Korea: Seoul district, 15 ㎞ south of lotoku, 19. X. 1947, 2♂ (including type), 7♀ (Zhmaeva).
